Proceedings below: After a jury returned a verdict in favor of BCL Properties, Inc. (Appellee), the trial court awarded it prejudgment interest, costs, and attorney fees.  On its own motion, the Supreme Court ordered this case to be transferred from the docket of the Court of Appeals to its docket.

Issues: Appellant makes the following assignments of error:  1) The District Court erred in awarding BCL attorney fees in the amount of $115,473.90 pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 52-157 (2021); 2) The District Court erred in awarding BCL prejudgment interest in the amount of $49,946.30 pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 45-104 (2021); 3) The District Court erred in denying Boyle’s post-trial motions including Boyle’s Motion for a New Trial or, in the Alternative, Motion to Alter or Amend Judgment; 4) The District Court erred in refusing to admit damages summaries offered by Boyle into evidence and for use as demonstratives pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 27-1006 (2016); and 5) The District Court erred in failing to respond to a question asked by the jury during jury deliberations.
